Lowveld Academy Hoedspruit principal coaxed into wearing wig for Mandela Day

‘Friends of Lowveld Academy’ hosted a ‘principal challenge’ as part of Mandela Day.

The learners were challenged to raise enough money to coax the principal, Gert Rautenbach, to wear a pink wig and dress for the day.

The learners supported the initiative with enthusiasm and energy, and the funds raised went towards ongoing counselling of LA learners, as well as supporting the Reachout Foundation’s efforts to help Troy Matthysen, a learner with a brain tumour in need of financial assistance to cover his medical bills.

“A huge thank you to the anonymous donors in our community for your generous contribution towards our efforts, and Mr Rautenbach for donning the pink wig and outfit, your dance moves were contagious,” said Tilana Harding of LA.
