Smoothies to get you looking bikini ready

Smoothies are a convenient and simple way to take in plenty of fruit and vegetables – and they’re just what you need to get your body ready for the warmer weather after the winter binge.


When sweetening your fruity fusion, steer clear of sugar to make sure you don’t cancel out the health benefits. Sugar alternatives mean you can keep things healthy and sweet at the same time.

For delicious, nutrient-rich smoothies packed with the energy your body needs, try these sugar-free recipes:

Cocoa protein power smoothie

Ingredients

1 tbs cocoa powder

1 cup (90 g) mixed frozen berries

1 cup (250 ml) soy milk, unsweetened

30 ml protein powder

1 tsp Canderel Crunch with Stevia

 

Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Add ice if desired and additional Canderel Crunch with Stevia to taste.

 

Green ginger smoothie

Ingredients

40 g fresh baby spinach or de-stalked Swiss chard

1 small green apple, skinned, cored and roughly chopped

¼ cup (20 g) celery, sliced

1 cup (70 g) cucumber, chopped

½ cup coconut water

1 heaped tbs mint, roughly chopped

1 tbs fresh ginger, grated

1 tsp Canderel Crunch with Stevia

 

Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Add more coconut water if mixture is too thick and additional Canderel Crunch with Stevia to taste. Serve with ice if desired.

 

Mixed berry and banana smoothie

Ingredients

1 (90 g) cup frozen mixed berries

1 cup (250 ml) plain fat free yoghurt

½ banana

1 tsp Canderel Crunch with Stevia

 

Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Add a splash of fat free milk if the mixture is too thick and additional Canderel Crunch with Stevia to taste. Serve with ice if desired.
