Tweet suggests Somizi and Mohale headed for divorce

Rumours over the state of Somizi and Mohale Motaung-Mhlongo’s marriage continue.

This was further fueled by a tweet circulating that suggested Mohale’s legal team served Somizi with divorce papers.  When The Citizen approached Mohale for comment, he was uncertain which tweet we were referring, to even though he was trending on Twitter.

When we sent him the tweet and asked for comment, he went dead quiet and didn’t respond to our questions.

For the past couple of months no one can put a finger on exactly what is going on between the two. They recently appeared in a glossy magazine declaring their undying love for each other and admitted that they sometimes fight as do any other couple.

Speculation has been rife they might be parting ways or already split up a long time ago. In the past they would splash post their life together all over social media but in recent months they have been posting solo or with friends.

Last month Somizi fueled the fire by going on a luxurious weekend to Cape Town with his close friend, Vusi Nova, without Mohale in sight. The same weekend, Mohale took a road trip with a sponsored car and it seems he was alone.

Mohale has been always been supportive of Somizi’s hustle but ever since the colourful Idols South Africa judge launched his edition of the Bathu sneaker, Mohale hasn’t been spotted supporting her hubby. This has left people further confused whether the two are still together and wondering whether there is trouble in paradise.

Just this past weekend Mohale was seen in Cape Town living the good life but minus Somizi. Concerning is that his wedding ring was reportedly nowhere to be seen.

It does not help that he further wrote a short letter to himself via Instagram.  The letter was accompanied by a picture of him facing away looking down on beautiful scenery with his arms up in the air.

This has left people with more questions and confused whether it could be symbolic that a fresh start awaits. For now, only Somizi and Mohale know whether they are together or not and we will just have to wait and see.
