Youngsters take to the stage with stunning talent

Saturday was all about the youth as talented youngsters took centre stage for the final round of Lowvelder Got Talent 2025.

Church Unlimited served as the venue, and with its bright stage lights, crisp sound and vibrant atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for these rising stars to showcase their abilities.

The chilly morning kicked off with the modelling division, in which the young participants soon warmed up the runway with confidence and flair.

In the 5-9 age group, Jordan Hills was named the boys’ winner and Imani Mabuza the girls’, with Cara Swanepoel and Vangama Malungana taking first and second runners-up respectively.

Kenya Mabunda took top honours in the 10-12 category, followed by Anri van Wijk (first runner-up) and Alicia Dlamini (second runner-up).

The senior modelling division, for ages 13-19, brought the category to a glamorous close. Fumani Whayti took the top honours for the boys and Nicole Mabuza was announced as the girls’ winner.

Marelisha du Toit and Diedré de Kock took the first and second runner-up spots.

After a short interval, it was time for the acting categories. Junior winner Cara Swanepoel delivered an impressive performance, followed by runner-up Niané Potgieter. In the senior category, Lovejoy Magopane claimed the top spot, with Nqubeko Phakathi named runner-up.

Next came the vocal division, where young singers showcased their talent and stage presence. Mamenhla Nkosi was crowned junior winner and Helen Rose Dieperink as runner-up.

In the senior section, Samkeliswa Ntuli walked away with the winner’s trophy, while Daniella de Bruin took second place.

It not only nurtures talent, but also instils pride in parents and schools, while spreading hope and positivity throughout the community.
