On the cards in August and September is a brandnew highlight on the agricultural and entertainment calender, the Mpumalanga Show, with the aim to make the sunshine province a leader in agriculture.

MBOMBELA – The first Mpumalanga Show promises to be start of great things for agriculture.
The showcase for the diverse agriculture, forestry, tourism, and wildlife offerings of the province is a first of its kind.
The Mpumalanga Show will take place at Mbombela Stadium from August 30 to September 3.
It will also serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and the exchanging of ideas.
The heart of this event will be an extensive show with stalls, exhibitions, workshops, active demonstrations and livestock competitions.
There will also be fun and excitement for the whole family with unique play activities for children, an upmarket food court, a fresh-produce farmers’ market, a beer tent, arts-and-craft stalls and live entertainment.
Well-known musicians such as Adam Tas, Rikus Nel and Majozi are among those who will form part of the line-up.

Mpumalanga’s first Braai Master competition, on September 1, will see Justin Bonello, the Braai Master himself, sifting the boys and girls from the men and women.
A Mud and Guts Mountain Bike Race and Polo challenge will also coincide with the show.
Several practical workshops, demonstrations and seminars will be presented each morning, where a variety of topics around farming and wildlife management will be covered.
“We would love to show our farmers what is out there, such as new technology that will help them to farm more productively, as well as experts in different fields giving us their latest research findings,” said organiser Werner Martin. “The latest potato planter and many more unique innovations will be on show. The faculty of agriculture and science of the University of Mpumalanga is partnering with us in this regard.”
The Mpumalanga Show is destined to become one of the highlights on Mbombela’s events calendar.
The organisers hope that it will grow to become a catalyst to promote trade, create jobs and boost the development of farming and tourism in the province.
“We have great sponsors on board so far and there are further opportunities for more to come on board and to partner with us,” Martin concluded.
