The African Elephant (Loxodonta africana)
Elephants are the largest land mammals. They use their distinctive trunks not only for drinking but also as a tool for stripping bark and leaves, breaking branches, picking fruit, pulling out grass tufts and for social communication. They have acute hearing and smell.
