Five marksmen of the Lebombo Defensive Shooting Club attended the International Defensive Pistol Association Africa Champs at the Premier Shooting Club in Cullinan earlier this month. The competition covered two full days of shooting, consisting of 16 stages with a total round count of 240. A total of 180 marksmen participated. Lebombo members Thomas Holder, Shawn Niemandt, Mel Preddy, Ishah Holder and Eratus Niemandt were tested to the limit. Niemandt was awarded a bronze medal in the stock service pistol – marksman division. Ishah won two bronze medals in the concealed carry pistol marksman division as well as the third-placed junior overall prize.
