KOMATIPOORT – The crèche at Komati Care Centre in Orlando celebrated the end of the year and Christmas during a prize-giving ceremony on November 25.
Parents, volunteers, the committee, as well as Pastor Roland Carle from the Combined English Church and some church members attended the event.
Arthur Muller, chairman of the centre, gave thanks to the Lord. “Without God, there would be no Komati Care Centre. We want to thank the teachers and all those involved in the centre for what they are doing for the children and for all the hard work they do. We want to thank God for this children and that they get a Christian education to give them a good start in life. When you see these children at the end of the year, you can see how much they have learned.”
Certificates were handed out to three children who are heading to grade one next year and 17 others who will be in grade 0.
The toddlers entertained the guests with song, percussion and dance and concluded the ceremony with a beautiful performance of the first Christmas.
The children and parents enjoyed refreshments and drinks afterwards. Each child received a Christmas present, with much love from donors and sponsors.
