The best achievement award for Lowveld High School (LHS) went to Robin Maile, with his exceptional time of 10,57 seconds in the 100 metres boys u/19 sprint. This record has been standing since 1979.

At the event, spectators witnessed something truly inspiring. In one of the relay races one of your boys fell down injured. The next moment one of his teammates picked up the baton and went to finish the race for his team and his school. “We were all inspired by such a spirit of commitment, guts, perseverance and self-respect.

“Well done Lowveld High. Not only were your singing and athletics team great, but also in an individual capacity you shined an example to us,” says Carla Brundyn, an impressed spectator.

Principal of Lowveld High School writes:

Interhigh of 2015 was an extremely well-organised event which ran without a glitch. Magnificent facilities, wonderful hospitality. Hoërskool Nelspruit did themselves proud. The real heroes are the kids who just gave their best on the track and in the field as well as on the stands. The heat was terrible but they just never gave up. I am extremely proud of the LHS staff, athletes and supporters. Our third place in the sangbeker was the highlight of the day. Well deserved by our cheerleaders and supporters.
