Good samaritan donates to school

The principal and teachers identified the most vulnerable and needy kids at the school. They gave the list to Ester Maphanga, who didn't hesitate to buying the uniforms. She managed to buy each and every one on the list shoes, trousers and shirts.

DRIEKOP – Local businesswoman Ms Ester “Mamazodwa” Maphanga of Moruleng, brought smiles to more than 25 pupils of Gowe Primary School.
She celebrated Women’s Month in a friendly fashion when she donated school uniforms. The children thanked her in song as she gave them the clothes. Some kissed her in excitement.

that about a month ago, when she did her routine leisurely walks, she met a group of schoolchildren dressed in shabby, torn and dirty clothes. Some were even barefoot.“I knew it was my turn to give back to the community. I went to see the school principal Mr Max Molepo to tell him about my plans,” she explained.

Molepo told the attendees at the ceremony that God has sent them an angel, “I thank Mamazodwa for choosing our school, she realised
that Gowe was poor and volunteered to help. I will encourage the pupils to take good care of the donated items. Hopefully this will improve their focus and performances in class”.
Maphanga is planning on donating food parcels and clothes to the disabled kids in the area as well.
