Adopt a granny for a holiday

NELSPRUIT – The Nelspruit Rotary Club can accommodate 10 senior citizens from old-age homes in and around Nelspruit at their resort in Badplaas this October.

Club president, Leon Pitallo, says many elderly have only R200 to live on after paying their fees at old-age homes, while some don’t even have R10 to their name. “We have identified almost 40 elderly who live their lives under boring conditions and really don’t have any enjoyment or even outings,” he said.

Companies or individuals can adopt a granny or grandad at a cost of R1 800 for an all-inclusive week at the Rotary Resort in Badplaas.
