Premier to orally respond to issues this afternoon in the legislature

The premier Mr David Mabuza will orally respond to questions in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature this afternoon.

NELSPRUIT – The premier Mr David Mabuza will personally respond to questions in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature this afternoon.

Topics to be addressed include the establishment of the Mpumalanga University and the cultural hub. Some questions are new, while some have stood over from a previous question-and-answer session in April.

Mabuza is expected to provide a progress report on the establishment of the university, clarify the role of the provincial government in the establishment and indicate what land has been purchased for the location of the institution. He will also be asked what amount was paid for the land which the cultural hub is to be constructed on, and to explain why these socio-economic projects are all to be located in Mbombela Municipality.

The premier is also to respond to questions from members of the provincial legislature about the leadership and alleged corruption faced by the Department of Human Settlements, service delivery in the health sector and placing another two municipalities under administration. The session is to start at 14:15. Follow it live on twitter @antwall85.
