According to a press release issued today by media manager, Willie Venter on behalf of provincial leader Anthony Benadie, the message that the DA would like to carry for the upcoming election, is clear. “By registering to vote, people hold the key to a better future”
The DA calls on every citizen of Mpumalanga to visit their local polling station on November 9 and 10 to ensure that they are registered to vote. The registration of voters will be held by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC ).
Polling stations will be open between 08:00 and 17:00 for registration, confirmation or re-registration.

In the statement, they said that the DA has proved during the past four years that the towns in which they are in power, offers a better life for the people and by voting every person in the country can contribute to building their own future.

They conclude “Mpumalanga will be a better place for every resident when we take a collective stand against corruption, nepotism, unemployment and crime – and the key to that lies in every voter’s hands.”

In a statement issued by the Umjindi local elections team, the ANC encouraged all the Nelson Mandela children to take the opportunity to register op November 9 & 10.
They said “We would like to encourage all those who are 17 years old to go register to be eligible to vote next year in the general elections. They must be able to exercise their democratic right of voting for the ANC next year.”
