DA in Tubatse urgers locals to register for next year elections

We showed we can govern in Western Cape, it will take only a term to improve Tubatse, not 20 years without basic needs.

BURGERSFORT- The Democratic Alliance in Greater Tubatse Municipality is urging all the locals in the platinum city to make use of the voter registration this weekend.

DA Cllr Roelof Lourens says the citizens should register, to ensure they are on the voters roll for the 2014 national election.

“The only way to fight the service-delivery scourge is to register and vote for the party that will ensure everyone access to basic needs, not buying their cronies luxurious cars and dishing out illegal tenders without bank guarantees.

“Villages like Manoke, Mashamothane and surrounding communities in Steelpoort, Apiesdoring can make their voice heard by registering to vote.”

Lourens further urged the youth to register, as he believed they can make an impact in choosing the party that will take their needs and concerns seriously.

“Given the opportunity, we can combat crime and ensure everyone gets basic needs like water, electricity, sanitation and proper roads, which are still a far cry for Tubatse citizens. The DA proved to be the only party to govern effectively (Western Cape) and DA governed municipalities.

There will be 290 voting stations in Tubatse where locals can register; all people are encouraged to register at the nearest voting station in their hometown. Registration will commence from 08:00 to 17:00 tomorrow and also on Sunday 08:00 to 17:00.

The DA says it is confident that the locals will register in large numbers. Enquiries: Cllr Roelof Lourens on 072-209-0176.
