Bokamoso educational project organises a ball for the learners

The event was organised by Bokamoso educational project and was aimed at encouraging the matric learners.

RIBA CROSS – Grade 12 learners from three local schools gathered at Nthame Primary School’s hall on October 25 to celebrate their matric ball and to receive their certificate of excellence.

Schools which attended the event were Batau, Mohlarutse, and Lehlaba high schools. It was organised by Bokamoso educational project who also invited local hip hop groups like the Hurricanes and London fame to entertain the learners.

Mr Mpho Sekgobela deputy chairperson of the Bokamoso educational project thanked the guest speakers who encouraged and guided the learners.

He told Steelburger/Lydenburg News that they are aiming at organising the event annually in order to appreciate the outstanding work done by the learners.

“We want the hardworking learners in our underprivileged schools to get recognised despite the lack of facilities in their schools.” added Sekgobela.

The best learner in the three schools combined was Mohlarutse’s Digetho Makola, he was awarded certificates in Life orientation, Mathematics, Life sciences, Physical sciences and Sepedi.
