The grey and gloomy weather could not dampen the exuberant spirit of 50 grade 11 Uplands Outreach maths learners. The annual L4E Awards Day is a programme highlight, as the achievements of the learners and facilitators throughout the year are celebrated. All fifty learners are still in the programme after two years, and the attendance average is still 96 per cent.
The learners (and facilitators) had fun throughout the day, which culminated in pick-up soccer and netball games. Principals and maths teachers from partner schools attended the ceremony, along with the Insikazi circuit manager, Mr Mandrew Nyambi.
The outreach team would like to thank its brilliant donors who make this programme possible: Rand Merchant Bank in partnership with Tshikululu Social Investments, The Chuma Foundation, and Lombard Insurance. We are grateful beyond measure for your support!
