Uplands and Rotary Christmas Giving

Every year for the past 14 years, Uplands Prep School and the Rotary Club of White River have collaborated in a Christmas party project.

Every child at Uplands donates a gift, which the Rotary Club helps distribute to orphans and vulnerable children in the surrounding communities. Some of the recipients are part of the Uplands College community service outreach.

This year, some 500 gifts have been collected for Millennium Home of Hope, Masoyi Special Care Centre, Lula Day Care Centre, Savuka Africa Youth Crew (for the children of KaNyamazane), and Pulanala (for the children of Kabokweni).

The parties are wonderfully festive and heart-warming occasions, as much for the givers as for the receivers.
