Christmas joy for the children of Phumalani

Christmas parties for children

Pam Golding Properties White River handed over 100 Christmas shoe boxes to the children of Phumalani on Friday December 6. This was as a result of Child Welfare SA White River, Sabie, Graskop box campaign to make the festive period a special one for the children in their care. Corporates and members of the public were challenged to fill shoe boxes with all kinds of Christmas gifts. Various local companies responded to the challenge and more than 500 beautifully wrapped shoe boxes were delivered to their offices.

“The shoe boxes brought smiles to the faces of the children of Phumalani,” says Johan Bosch, operations manager. “Other companies which contributed include Standard Bank White River, Konica Minolta, Union Motors, Toys”R”Us and Age-in-Action as part of their Pretty Things for Little Things campaign.

More Christmas parties will follow in the coming week to reach the children of Sabie and Graskop. Bosch thanked the Lowveld community for opening their hearts during the festive season. For more information, email Johan Bosch at johan@childwelfarewr.org.
