SKHILA – Last week Skhila Secondary School successfully conducted its 2014 student leadership elections. This year the students announced that they prefer to be named head boys and head girls, instead of the representative council of learners (RCL). Among others, the new leaders promised to encourage students to participate in sport, enforce discipline, identify drug abuse, report the sale of drugs, enhance campus care and control the wearing of school uniform. “We wish this leadership success in the execution of their roles and responsibilities,” the school’s teacher liaison officer, Ms Shabangu said.
