IEC Brings edutainment roadshow to Mpumalanga

The IEC's Voter and Balloting Theatre and Edutainment Roadshow will visit each of the province’s 18 municipalities.

NELSPRUIT – The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) will begin rolling0 out its roadshow to educate potential voters in Mpumalanga. The Voter and Balloting Theatre and Edutainment Roadshow will visit each of the province’s 18 municipalities.

The roadshow is youth orientated and aimed at educating new and young voters about the processes, procedures as well as the acceptable conduct before, during and after the forthcoming general elections on May 7.

According to Mr Sibusiso Nkosi, spokesman for the IEC in Mpumalanga, this edutainment format has been very successful in promoting the understanding of elections in an entertaining way.

The roadshow will visit municipalities in Ehlanzeni District as follows:

Berberton: March 19

Nelspruit: March 20

Thylamahashe: March 21

Sabie: March 21

Kompatipoort: March 22
