The DA in Mpumalanga is offering a R5 000 reward to anyone who can provide photographic or video evidence that will lead to the arrest of individuals who are purposely vandalising, removing or tampering with any of the party’s election posters.

The DA’s provincial legislature candidate, Bosman Grobler, said in a statement that during the past few days, election posters were removed, covered and vandalised in the Steve Tshwete, Victor Khanye and Mbombela local municipalities.

Grobler said in some instances, DA posters were removed and replaced or simply covered with those of ANC, despite stipulations in the Electoral Act which state that no person may deface, unlawfully remove or destroy any election material of any political party.
