NELSPRUIT – Opposition parties are up in arms over allegations that the provincial government diverted public funds away from service delivery to pay for memorial services of the late former president Mr Nelson Mandela.
The DA and COPE, both represented in the provincial legislature, have strongly critisised the reported abuse that saw R70 million being diverted from five other departments to finance the six memorial services held in the province in December.
