You’ve never seen a Cinderella story quite like Penryn Prep’s Cinderella and Rockerfella pantomime. Packed with great dialogue, talented actors, catchy songs and colourful costumes, this is a production not to be missed.
This annual Penryn Preparatory Senior Primary production showcased the talents of the sixty Grade 7 pupils, who took the leading roles, and the Grade 4, 5, and 6 children, who formed the lively and vibrant chorus.
The story follows Cinderella, who has to clean up after her five stepsisters and stepmother. A group of wingless fairies take pity on her and get the fairy godmother to dress Cinderella for the ball. Instead of the traditional Prince Charming, this production features Rockafella, a prince-turned-rockstar, who longs to meet the girl of his dreams.
Adults will be entertained by the witty dialogue, while children will enjoy watching their friends dance and sing their way across the stage.
The comic play was produced by Ruth Naude, the musical director, and Galia Manicom, director.
