DA has confidence in their supporters

Minnaar said a matter of concern was voters, who have been locally registered in other wards, has been transported to the High School and the Town Hall voting stations throughout the day.

BARBERTON – After a peaceful day of voters coming and going at the different voting stations, everything has quieted down. According to DA Cllr Philip Minnaar, who is stationed at Barberton High School, people are now occasionally coming in one or two at a time.

“I think all in all it was a good day. Out of the 1 150 voters who was registered at this voting station, 1 100 has already showed up to make their mark,” said Minnaar at 20:00.

He said a matter of concern was voters, who have been locally registered in other wards, has been transported to High School and the Town Hall voting stations throughout the day.

“We know this, not only because we’ve seen it, but because our informants confirmed it. It would seem as if the ANC is trying to make their numbers look better, as has happened in the DA Ward 9 as well as Ward 8, which has a great number of DA supporters,” said Minnaar.

“We thank everyone who showed today to support the DA,” concluded Minnaar.
