BARBERTON – Election Day has finally arrived. Although it was initially quiet during the early hours, voters have since been increasing in numbers.
The Executive Mayor of Umjindi, Cllr Lazaros Mashaba was amongst some of the early voters that arrived at the voting station at the grounds of Barberton High School.
Speaking to the media after casting his vote at Barberton High School during the early hours of May 7, he explained how he feels about the voting process and urged the community to follow his lead. Mashaba also mentioned that after Monday and Tuesday’s special votes, the ANC believe that they will remain the ruling party.
