TUKAKGOMO – Queues of voters  increased in the Steelpoort area, and Longtill, around mid day, voters were seen donning their party’s regalia and exercising their votes at Maelebe primary school.

According to Ishmael Komane resident of the village the voting turnout in the village is satisfying, he told the paper most voters came with the EFF and ANC  T-shirts.

“At this juncture, It seems like ANC will have an upper hand in this area, hopefully during the afternoon we will see more voters coming. The good thing is that we have the young and the old in the queues,” he said.

Steelburger/Lydenburg News will keep on updating about the latest election developments in the Lydenburg and Burgersfort areas. The paper has not received any reports of protest and problems in voting.
