BURGERSFORT – The voting station in town has opened its doors early this morning. Fortunately the queues are not too long and voters can cast their votes without waiting hours.
Steelburger/Lydenburg News asked voters who they think would earn the most votes in the National elections and why. This is what they answered.
– Jaco Lombard (42) said, “I think the ANC will win because their voters are the majority.”
– Elize Moll (33) said, “I will be optimistic and say the DA will earn the most votes. Times have changed.”
– Francois Reyneke (34) said, “I believe the ANC will win because if the votes follow the same path as their leadership then it will most probably be corrupt.”
– Kay Magopa (61), “The ANC will definitely earn the most votes. They are well-known and have proven that they can win.”
– Anja van der Westhuizen (28), “In my heart I hope the DA will win. Unfortunately I still think the majority will vote ANC.”
Tshifhiwa Phosa (29), “It’s complicated so I can’t tell. This time there is a lot of competition. Some of the new parties are very strong.”
