Mammekwa to be reinstated as the new mayor of GTM

BURGERSFORT – Former Greater Tubatse Municipality (GTM) mayor Mr Ralepane Mammekwa will be reinstated, as was revealed by the ANC in Limpopo.

He will replace Mr Nkosiyabo Josias Mahlake who was fired by the party a week ago in what was called a strategic move. The party alleged Mahlake and the other three mayors, Mr Lawrence Mapoulo of the Capricorn district, Mr Joshua Matlou of the Mopani district, and Ms Wendy Matemane of Elias Motsoaledi municipality were underperforming, while newspaper reports alleged that they were aligned to the Economic Freedom Fighters and its leader Julius Malema.
