The sound of music at Riverside Mall

Out of the shops came members of the Lowveld High School choir, delighting shoppers with their harmonious voices. The school flash mob bravely sung a selection of songs without music to accompany them.

On Women’s’ Day this past weekend, crowds gathered in the corridors of Riverside Mall to listen to the Lowveld High School choir as they sang in magnificent harmony. The Lowveld High flash mob filtered out of Milky Lane and Exclusive Books, taking the shoppers by surprise.

This is the second time the scholars have sung at Riverside Mall and everybody was delighted with their latest performance. Jane Wandrag, principle of the school, was seen dancing alongside her pupils while Bongani Mavundla, the choir master, guided the group of singers through their choice of songs.

The choir is hard at work practicing for a show they will be performing on 23 August. Friends and family will be treated to a rendition of Shake, Ripple and Roll. If you’d like to attend this show, call Francina du Plessis on 071-670-0488.
