Manthano Christian School’s 15th birthday celebrations didn’t only include cake and candles, but it was also announced that the school’s name had changed. As of August, the school has been known as Accelerated Academy.
Principal Ms Colleen Kotzé said the motivation for the name change was that “accelerated” education was one of the unique aspects of the school’s curriculum. A student can progress through the levels at their own individual rate, in many cases resulting in them finishing a year early. Another major consideration was that the previous name had been misspelt, mispronounced and often confused with Montana.
Kotzé stressed that it would continue to provide the same high-quality, Bible-based education that it has been providing for the past 15 years. The school has a dedicated team of staff members taking it into the new season. Enrollments for 2015 are already open.
