Gr 8’s create books for younger pupils

Uplands College pupils eagerly took on an English project where they each had to write a book about a grade 2 Uplands Prep pupil.

Writing a book isn’t an easy task but it was one the Grade 8 class at Uplands College had great fun taking on.

The pupils were given the English project a few weeks ago and assigned a grade 2 pupil from Uplands Prep to write the book about.

They spent time with the young pupils to find out what their family is like, what they like and what their hobbies are in order to decide what storyline the book should follow.

The books were officially handed over to the grade 2’s last week. The young ones were very excited and the pupils paired off and sat reading their books together in the playgrounds.
