Juventus win community tourney
Juventus played counter-attacking football, using their fast midfielders to test the slow Morakaneng defence. Their attacks did not yield any dividends as the teams ended the match in a stalemate.
PRAKTISEER – Juventus FC won the Tubatse local tournament when they defeated Morakaneng FC 5-4 in penalties. The teams drew 0-0 in 90 minutes of play. The games were played at Juventus sports ground on October 19.
The final match lacked scoring opportunities as both teams played a dull game in the first stanza. The second half was an entertaining affair as Pule Marakalla and Karabo Napo of Morakaneng gave the Juventus defence problems with their speedy runs on the wings.

It was left to the dreaded penalties to determine the winner; in the penalties Juventus converted all their five spot kicks while Morakaneng’s Thato Mohlala missed his team penalty.
Morakaneng coach Lebogang Malatji said his team would bounce back in the next games. Tshwarelo Kgolobela, Juventus coach, praised his players for an excellent match.
“My boys never disappointed, they were just tremendous in their spot kicks. We practised set plays the previous week,” he said.
To qualify for the final Juventus won 7-6 against Lebowa FC of Alverton village, while Morakaneng cruised to a 2-0 victory against Kings FC of Ga Motodi Village.
