Manchester City wins tourney

Aggrivor Mafane put City in front with a superb finish while Piet Makofane equalised for Sahlela to take the match to the spot kicks. City players successfully converted their spot kicks while Temosho Mafane missed Sahlela’s penalty.

Manchester City, formerly known as Hellenic, were crowned winners of the Mabocha community tourney after they defeated Sahlela FC 6-5 in penalties. The two teams drew 1-1 at the close of normal time. The games were played at the All-stars sports grounds last Sunday October 26.

To reach the finals, City walloped Uruguay FC 3-1. Aggrivor Mafane was City’s key player as he scored in the club’s two matches.
