Sehlaku reward learners with awards
“To avoid our learners becoming failures, I urge the parents to help in guiding and disciplining them, because teachers can’t do it alone,” he suggested.
DRIEKOP – On Tuesday October 21 a prestigious event was held at Sehlaku Secondary School to bid farewell to the grade 12s.
The ceremony included a prize-giving function and trophies were awarded to pupils had who excelled in their studies. Entertainment was tops as learners performed traditional dancing, choir, poems and dramas. Local councillors, traditional leaders, parents and members of the school-governing board graced the event.
The school principal Mr Jacob Moshwana asked parents to cooperate with the teachers in developing the learners.
“To avoid our learners becoming failures, I urge the parents to help in guiding and disciplining them, because teachers can’t do it alone,” he suggested.
Moshwana highlighted that, as teachers, they did their part and it was only left to the matrics to pass their exams with flying colours.
“We worked hard the whole year, polishing them for the exams, we hope they make us proud by passing.” He concluded by wishing the learners luck in their exams.
The award for the overall best pupils at the school was given to matric, Olebogeng Malapane. He received trophies and certificates.
