Prize-winners included Lindo Mokoena, who represented the Ehlanzeni District on the athletics field, and was awarded the trophy for Sports Girl of the Year and Athlete of the year (Girl).
Nkosana Mpinga also represented the Ehlanzeni District, as well as the province, in athletics and rugby and received awards for Sport Boy of the Year, Athlete of the year (Boy), and the very special Principal’s Award.
Allesandro Capazorio received the senior culture trophy, as he represented the Ehlanzeni District in Public Speaking, and was awarded the trophy for the best public speaker in the intermediate phase.
Fancy Manzini, head girl of 2014, was the top achiever in grade seven, which earned her academic colours and the laurel of this year’s Dux Learner.
The head leaders were also announced at the end of the evening. Bright Makaringe and Azmé Chiloane were chosen as the head boy and girl, with Allesandro Capazorio and Welisha Knipe chosen as their deputies.
