Cirque Du Petit pay a visit to Barberton

The circus came to town on Tuesday evening. This was during the annual concert of Barberton Nursery School which was held in the Barberton High School Hall.
The performers of Cirque Du Petit entered from the back of the hall with ribbon dancers, Madame Veron’s dancing poodles, Kung Fu big cats, grizzly bears from Russia with love, baby elephants, tightrope balancing stars, sassy tigers and many more in tow.
After the daring acts, which had the audience on the edges of their seats, the lights were switched off and the teachers entertained the spectators to an act called luminous.
After a short break, the children performed the ancient and ever-popular Nativity play while Pastor Dupie du Plessis guided them in Christmas song.
After a night of wonder, it was encouraging to be given the assurance that, as was mentioned at the bottom of the programme, “Respect and care were shown equally to all performers, humans and animals alike.”
