MBOMBELA – Mbombela Local Municipality’s (MLM) manager, Mr Noko Seanego, was arrested early this morning. He appeared in the local Magistrate’s Court on a fraud charge mere hours later.
It was a brief appearance in which he applied for bail. The state requested that bail be set at R2 000 and the defence agreed. It was consequently granted and the case has been postponed to February 19 for further investigation.
The charge is apparently related to the appointment of security officials at the municipality.
