Young learners pledge their allegiance to school

Last week Friday Riverview Prep School’s grade ones pledged their allegiance to the school after which they were welcomed by the senior learners. “This is a formal way of introducing the pupils to the seniors and also to remind them of God’s eternal presence,” said principal Sean Barry.

The school’s pledge reads:

“As a pupil of Riverview Prep School, I fully commit myself to doing the following: I will do this – not because I have to, but because I am eager to please Jesus. I will be loyal to the name of Riverview and show by the way I speak, dress and behave, that I am proud of my school and all that it stands for. I believe that God is the ultimate authority in my life and I will serve Him above all others. With His help, I pledge to try my best to love, to serve, to help and to uphold the students, the teachers and the staff of Riverview Preparatory School.”
