Gordon aces salvage a draw in a tough encounter

Second-placed Gordon Aces, came back from 2-0 down to share the spoils with log leaders All For One FC. The two teams are leading the Local Football Association (LFA) ‘s stream A league.The match was played at Phiring’s community ground this past Sunday.
All For One FC made their intentions clear when they took the lead in the 22nd minute of the match after a close range header from Gideon Nkosi.
The two teams went into the interval with All For One leading by an odd goal. The second half saw the home team pushing for an equalising goal but still failing to convert the chances created.

Gordon Aces introduced their pacey winger Calvin Lekgau in the second stanza and he and captain Ike Ngwana, terrorised the visitors’s defence. Gordon Aces reduced the deficit in the 68th minute after Caldair Moseamedi unleashed a powerful shot inside the 18 yard area. The goal sparked some venom in the home team, they eventually equalised in the 75 minute through an own goal by Mpho Maupa.
All For One FC defended for the remainder of the second half to salvage a point. Owner and coach of Gordon Aces, Gordon Sekgogoba said he was pleased with his side’s fighting spirit while his counterpart Solomon Kgwete blamed the referee for the results. After this past week’s fixtures, All For One still lead stream A with 37 points.
