GAMOTODI- After winning the Baswa le Meetse (youth in water) national competition in 2014, under the poetry category, the local primary school Marota, was given lots of goodies on March 17.
The school was donated a media classroom, the class has 21 computers, one overhead data projector, a three-in-one printer and a cash prize of R6 000.
The prizes were donated by MTN. The media centre has connection to internet, scientific programmes loaded into computers and also five educators from the school were trained for computer lessons.
The deputy minister of Water and sanitation Ms Pamela Tshwete officially opened the class; she was accompanied by the Sekhukhune District Municipality (SDM)’s executive mayor Cllr David Magabe, Greater Tubatse Municipality (GTM)’s mayor Cllr Ralepane Mamekoa and the local chief Kgoshi Hlabirwa Sekhukhune.
