Summerhill juniors enjoy adventure camp

Wild animals, teambuilding fun and stickbread were just some of the highlights Summerhill Prep's junior pupils experienced at a recent camp.

Summerhill Prep School’s juniors had quite an adventure on their camping trip at the Blyde River Adventure Centre between March 11 and 13. The group of gr. 1, 2 and 3 learners spent a morning with the talented dance team at Roots of Rhythm on route to the centre.

After they arrival at the camp, they prepared their own potjiekos and for breakfast managed to cook stick bread filled with syrup.

The rest of the day was filled with more adventures and surprises.

The group also visited the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre and were fascinated by all the different animals.

The camp proved to be very successful as the bus was filled with sleepy children, taking advantage of the trip home to catch a nap.
