Kaizer Chiefs travelled from Emjindini to witness their side reclaim the Absa Premiership, and they didn’t disappoint last Wednesday.
The locally based Amakhosi fans braved the chilly Johannesburg weather at FNB Stadium but in the end it was hearth warming for them to see their team beating Polokwane City 4-1 and winning a second league title in three years.
“It was a great feeling. They (players) looked like they were having fun out there. I would also like to think that the guys went into the pitch and played for Shoes (John Moshoeu). This league victory is for him,” said Sakhi Mnisi.
Moshoeu passed away last Tuesday after a long battle with stomach cancer.
With about 15 minutes left in the game, there was carnival-like atmosphere at the stadium.
