Learners of Lowveld High School (LHS) are a step closer to following in the footsteps of their sports icons by becoming the stars of the future. This is all thanks to new training equipment. The school recently received the contribution to augment their existing training centre at the school.
“This is a welcome gift that will give learners the opportunity to exercise more efficiently and on a regular basis to get fit and strong and ready to perform at their best on the field,” says Francina du Plessis, marketing manager of the school.
However, the school has no full-time trainer at the moment. LHS therefore created a golden opportunity for a vibrant fitness instructor who can take over the reins at the gym.
Applications are open for an instructor to provide training expertise and advice to LHS learners participating in various activities and help those who take up sport seriously to achieve their goals and aim for the stars. Services will also be rendered to LHS personnel and possibly parents of the students. The successful candidate will thus be able to build his or her own client base and charge fees accordingly and not be paid a salary by the school.
“We believe it is a great business opportunity if managed effectively,” Du Plessis says. All interested candidates can send their applications to admin@lhs.org.za. The closing date is June 15.
