Parents and their kids have a jolly time at Penryn Prep

It was a morning of laughter, smiling faces and proud parents at Penryn Preparatory School when the grade 000 to
R group hosted its annual preschool Mom and Dad Day on Friday.
The little ones first entertained their parents and teachers with a musical performance in the chapel. Some of the songs and music were quite comical. The little performers also looked the part, dressed up as their favourite characters from rhymes and fairy tales, ranging from cowboys and pirates to fairies and Snow White.
“We want to thank all the moms and dads who have taken the time to be here today and to enjoy the morning’s activities. The children have been sitting still for 45 minutes and that is an achievement in its own,” Grant Williams, head of Penryn Prep said.
The children were also given questions to answer prior to the event. The answers were read out and elicited numerous chuckles from the audience.
When asked what load-shedding was, some of them replied as follows:
“Load-shedding is when the lights go off and the candles go on”, and, “it is when we play hide and seek and when we use mom’s phone”.
After the play the happy parents took their kids home for an early start to the weekend.
