Abandoned community hall a kraal for donkeys

LEBOENG – A community hall which was supposed to benefit locals now serves a different purpose – it is a kraal for donkeys.

The Leboeng Community Hall was built by the Greater Tubatse Municipality (GTM) in 2010 for locals to conduct meetings. When Steelburger/Lydenburg News visited the area, the windows were broken and doors had been stolen.

The R2,7 million hall was dilapidated and vandalised. According to the DA in Tubatse, the GTM has failed to take action against officials responsible for paying more than R2,7 million for the hall. For this article and more, grab a copy of the Steelburger/Lydenburg News this Friday.
