A quarter of a century ago on 19 June 1990, no less than four stories made it onto the front page, while a famous songwriter also showed off his talents in Nelspruit.

• Front page story: Kweek liefde vir plaas

Buks Viljoen wrote a front page story that looked at the importance of nurturing a love for farming and agriculture amongst the youth. This was primarily for continual growth in the Lowveld agricultural sectors. One of the main concerns were the urbanisation of the population.

 

• Anton Goosen trek ‘n saal vol mense

Die liedjieskrywer en sanger Anton Goosen het Hoërskool Nelspruit besoek as deel van die skool se fondsinsamelingsprojek. Goosen se dogter Mariza het ook saam met haar pa vir ‘n foto poseer. Mariza was toe in Graad 11 by NHS.

 

• Rob behaal 1ste Direkteurstrofee sege

Rob Ferreira het Saterdag 16 Junie 1990 vir die eerste keer die Direkteurstrofee met ‘n 13-9 sege oor Lowveld High gewen.
