LHS choir to represents Mpumalanga

"Go on, make us proud and raise the Mpumalanga flag very high as you have our full support".

MBOMBELA – The choir of Lowveld High School (LHS) has recently been crowned provincial winners in the Afrikaans Secondary B division at the Mpumalanga Provincial South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod Championships for the very first time in their history.

They will represent the province in the national championships from June 31 to July 2 at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg.

The MEC for education, Reginah Mhaule congratulated and extended her best wishes to all the choirs, including LHS, who made it thus far.

Mhaule said the high standard displayed by the choirs in the three-day spectacle has earned the confidence of the department that the flag of Mpumalanga will be flown high at the national championships.

“I want to congratulate all learners and schools that have been selected to perform at the 2015 South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod for the splendid work done and wish all of you the best of luck.

“Go on, make us proud and raise the Mpumalanga flag very high as you have our full support. We look forward to you being crowned the 2015 South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod national champions,” the MEC concluded.
