The organisers decided to hold the concert instead of the usual play, which enabled the talented pupils to each get their five minutes of fame on stage.
MC’s Luke Simaan and Tanner Abell introduced the acts, while Josh had parents laughing with jokes at the end of each half.
Ballerinas, several groups of dancers and gymnasts performed routines, while drummers drummed away, musicians played guitar and keyboard and several singers had their turn behind the microphone.
Laith, Duncan P, Vuxa and Khwezi were very impressive and passionate during their rap and dance performance of Vanilla Ice’s hit Ice Ice Baby.
Duncan J and his chorus dancers got a standing ovation from parents after a rousing performance of Mamma Mia.
The grade five’s performed as a group at the end of the first interval and had parents laughing with their rendition of Poor old dog, a song about a dog having difficulty crossing the road.
Several beautiful redition of famous songs were sung during the second half, including the Pitch Perfect 2 hit Flashlight, sung by Ona and Sarah B.
The evening was concluded with the grade four’s rendition of Jamming in Jamaica.
The organisers would like to thank everyone who had a hand in the successful concert.
