Water cut can be expected

LYDENBURG – Water will temporarily be suspended in some areas in town and Mashishing on Wednesday July 29 from 06:00 to 16:00. This will be due to construction in Viljoen and Berg streets.

According to Thaba Chweu Municipality (TCM) spokesman, Mr Puleng Mapheto, the contractor will connect the main pipes, which supply water to some areas in town, to the reservoir.

“This is a routine task that will unfold till all new pipes are installed in our area. We also request that the community use water sparingly,” he added.

“We hope load-shedding will not affect the process of pumping water into the reservoirs like it did previously and we apologise for any inconvenience,” Mapheto said.
