Talented pupils excell at annual Eisteddfod

During the two months' performances at the annual eisteddfod, pupils of Summerhill Prep received various certificates for their achievements.

Pupils at Summerhill Prep School are encouraged to develop their creative skills and the annual Eisteddfod, held in Mbombela, is the perfect stage for it.

All the school’s classes did a group coral verse, with most of them receiving prestige results. There were also numerous entries for dramatised and undramatised English poetry.

A total of two prestiges, six gold As+, four gold As, two silver B+s and two silver Bs were obtained. In the vocal sections the two entrants received an A and an A+.

The visual-arts entries numbered 31 and pupils received five prestiges, 13 golds, eight silvers and five bronze.

Three pupils entered the photography section and received gold, silver and bronze. Art teacher Leoni Dorfling also entered in the open category for fine art and received a prestige.
